Introduction of Spedent® Trapezoidal Toothed Timing Belt

Short Description:

A trapezoidal tooth synchronous belt, also known as a multi-wedge synchronous belt, is a type of synchronous transmission belt with a trapezoidal tooth shape. It is an improvement on the traditional curvilinear toothed synchronous belt and has the characteristics of precise transmission, low noise, long life, and high reliability.

Product Detail

Product Tags

The trapezoidal tooth synchronous belt is mainly composed of a belt body, tooth surface, and tensioning structure. The belt body is usually made of materials with good wear resistance such as neoprene rubber, and the tooth surface is made of a trapezoidal tooth structure, which can be made of harder materials such as polyurethane. During transmission, the tensioning structure can maintain the stability of the transmission belt by adjusting the tensioning force.

The trapezoidal tooth synchronous belt is widely used in various mechanical equipment to transmit power and realize positioning, translation, and rotational motion. It has the characteristics of good transmission accuracy, high efficiency, low noise, low vibration, wear resistance, and oil resistance, and has become one of the most commonly used transmission components in automated equipment.

Markets / Applications

Trapezoidal Toothed Timing Belt can be applied in various fields such as office equipment, mechanical tools, sewing machines, vending machines, agricultural machinery, food processing, HVAC, oil fields, woodworking, and paper making,etc.

Advantages

Fiberglass rope can provide high strength, outstanding flexibility, and high tensile strength.
Chloroprene rubber protects it from dirt, grease, and moist environments.
Nylon tooth surface makes it have an ultra-long service life.
It is maintenance-free and does not require secondary tensioning. In the drive system, it can effectively reduce maintenance costs and labor costs.

Remark:

Description methods for a belt are:
Length: the measured length of the belt.
Pitch: the distance between the centers of two adjacent teeth on the belt.
For example, 270H represents a synchronous belt with a pitch length of 27 inches and a pitch distance of 12.700mm.
The corresponding pitch distances for trapezoidal teeth are as follows:
MXL =2.032mm       H =12.700mm       T2.5 =2.5000mm      AT3 =3.000mm
XL =5.080mm         XH =22.225mm      T5 =5.000mm        AT5 =5.000mm
L =9.525             XXH = 31.750mm     T10 =10.000mm      AT10 =10.000mm
